Diskin Cider is closing its taproom at 1235 Martin St. in Wedgewood-Houson on Oct. 26, according to a recent announcement on Diskin Cider’s Instagram page, with plans to usher in “a new chapter.”

“For more than seven years, our Martin Street home has seen it all — weddings, NSC match days, birthdays, drag shows and even a pandemic,” the announcement stated. “To our customers and staff, thank you for bringing this place to life. You are the heart of Diskin.”

The brand is planning to reopen elsewhere, according to the announcement. However, a new location has not been revealed. The company indicates that it is planning to open a tasting room next year.

“We’ll be back in 2026 with a new home, new memories and the same bold cider you know and love,” the announcement stated.

In the meantime, Diskin Cider will maintain a local presence with pop-up events and its mobile cidery.

Co-founder Adam Diskin drew inspiration from the cider culture in Washington, Canada and England to craft the brand with his business partner Todd Evans. Diskin Cider generates craft cider using freshly pressed apples, producing flagship ciders such as traditional English cider Bob’s Your Uncle, Southern semi-sweet cider Lil Blondie and strawberry lime rosé Babe Magnet. They also offer seasonal ciders.
