Caribou Coffee appears to have a new location in the works in Cabarrus County. The brand is looking to bring a 1,799-square-foot coffee shop with a drive-through lane to an endcap tenant space at 5008 Dogwood Blvd in Kannapolis, according to a plan review filed with Cabarrus County.

This location would continue the coffee chain’s growth in the area, which has been expanding in the state in recent years, adding a High Point location and a spot in Denver within the last year. Caribou Coffee has four locations in Charlotte, as well as spots in Greensboro, Kernersville, Burlington, Denver, High Point, Monroe, Waxhaw, Mooresville and Huntersville.

The brand has more than 800 locations, focusing largely on walk-up window and drive-through models. The menu features handcrafted coffee beverages, refreshers, espresso shakers, energy drinks, tea, snacks, breakfast items and pastries.

As of now, it appears that the location is in the early stages of development and an opening timeline is still unknown.
