If you’re looking for some magic in your mornings, Dark Alchemy Coffee might have just what you’re looking for.

The shop plans on celebrating its grand opening the first week of December 2025 at 241 Riverside Drive in Holly Hill. The shop will be located along the Halifax River, and provides both indoor and outdoor seating to give coffee lovers a beautiful spot in which to enjoy their cup of java.

According to Business Debut, the shop is owned by Richard Hernandez and Cheril Ramirez — engineers with a shared passion for good coffee. The partners decided to turn that passion into a reality with Dark Alchemy.

As the name implies, Dark Alchemy will specialize in coffees with rich, deep flavors. Steel Oak Roasters, a local Ormand Beach roastery, will supply Dark Alchemy with coffees, including a special blend of South American beans called, Main Drift. Dark Alchemy’s co-owner, Richard Hernandez praised Steel Oak Roasters for its superior coffee, adding that Steel Oak’s quality made it an easy choice to source from them.

The shop will also offer chai tea lattes, teas, smoothies, and pastries from local purveyors to round out the menu of Florida sourced food and beverages.
