New York-based restaurant Bondi Sushi, known for its fresh, high-quality sushi, will debut its first Broward County location in Oakland Park on October 29. The new restaurant will be Bondi’s largest yet. It will offer a sushi bar and spacious indoor and outdoor seating, with creative new dishes on the menu.

Bondi Sushi Expands to Oakland Park: A New Dining Destination

Spread across 2,100 square feet indoors and 800 square feet outdoors, Bondi Sushi’s new space will be its largest location yet. True to its signature style, it has a central sushi bar where chefs craft sushi, raw dishes, and robata specialties in guests’ view.

The design features a 16-foot handmade tile piece by New York artist Allison Eden, Fortuny silk lighting from Italy inspired by its sister concept Shinji’s, lush greenery, and modern banquette seating.

The space has a bright setting during the day, reflecting Bondi’s beach-inspired vibe. It transitions into an intimate setting at night with softer lighting and curated DJ playlists.

“Oakland Park represents a pivotal moment for Bondi; it’s not just a new location, it’s the next evolution of who we are as a brand,” says David Hess, CEO of Bondi Sushi.

“We’ve taken everything our guests love about Bondi—the energy, the accessibility, the craft—and layered in a new level of creativity and refinement. From our expanded menu to the cocktail bar we built with Shinji’s, this space is designed to surprise and delight. We’re proud to bring this elevated Bondi experience to Broward County and continue growing with the incredible community in South Florida,” he added.
