Fan Hwa, a Chinese dessert and bao shop, is coming to Orlando.

The Asian sweet shop is moving into 709 N. Mills Avenue, in the Colonialtown North neighborhood, known for its Mid-Century homes and vibrant dining scene. According to Orlando Weekly, the restaurant has no opening date set.

Though a menu has not been released, expect Chinese pastries with sweet and savory options such as mooncakes, egg tarts, steamed buns filled with red bean paste, lotus leaf buns, and fried dough.

Earlier this year, Fan Hwa owner, Eric Jiang, opened Sushi Izuki. The restaurant offers two seatings a day, with two different omakase experiences featuring Japanese seasonal fish and dry aged beef.  The restaurant offers an experience that’s a blend of traditional and modern, blending Japanese influences with those of the U.S.

In addition to Fan Hwa, Jiang is also opening Jiang’s Kitchen in Downtown Orlando early next year. The restaurant will be located in downtown Orlando’s Arts District, walking distance to Lake Eola and Creative Village. The restaurant will offer dumplings prepared fresh daily. Guests will be able to watch them being made from the open kitchen.
