A new location is under development for JetSet Pilates. The fitness franchise is slated to open at 3330 Piedmont Road, Suite 13, taking the former Coast Dental space at Buckhead Landing.
Nick Celeste and Neo Wilde are the franchise owners behind the forthcoming location. Celeste told What Now Atlanta that they were drawn to the franchise’s modern approach to Pilates.
“We both come from a very athletic, strength-focused, gym-rat background. We found modern Pilates three years ago, and we found that it’s the one workout that’s always consistently challenging to us,” Celeste said. “So we fell in love with it and really wanted to bring the modern approach to Atlanta.”
While traditional Pilates can result in a slower, stretch-focused workout, JetSet uses custom reformers and quick transitions, and it incorporates cardio exercises into their classes to create a reliable full-body workout. Celeste said the resistance training involved allows people to use body weight and spring resistance to replicate weighted workouts without placing stress on joints.
JetSet Pilates will feature DJ-curated playlists, as well. The playlists, coupled with the spot’s relatively large footprint of 2,800 square feet, are designed to create an upbeat, bright, inviting atmosphere.
Celeste views Buckhead as an ideal starting spot, as many young professionals live there, often moving from other areas for a job in Atlanta. Celeste hopes that they can find a home and connection at JetSet.
“The most important thing for us is the community aspect of it,” Celeste said. “I’m a transplant from Cleveland, Ohio, so the gym is my third place. It’s always where I’ve found my network. I think where a lot of gyms fail is that it’s just a membership, whereas with us, we’re going to be outside the four walls.”
To enhance connection among members, the team plans to host events such as mat classes on hotel rooftops and happy hours. They also hope to partner with other local businesses to create events for members.
The Buckhead location will likely open around March, joining one existing location for JetSet Pilates already open in Alpharetta under different owners.
From here, Celeste and Wilde plan to expand further in the Atlanta market. They are eyeing a Midtown location next.
