Raydal Hospitality is shaking up its concepts as it looks for expansion opportunities. Last year, Raydal Hospitality opened Dominican-style restaurant MaBí Cocina Tropical in NoDa. However, now founder and CEO Dalton Espaillat has placed that restaurant on the market and is looking to shift focus to one of his other brands, Sabor Latin Street Grill, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. Sabor has a strong presence in Charlotte, with most of its 17 restaurants located there. Winston-Salem and Raleigh each have a location, as well.
Now, Espaillat is seeking to grow the brand, searching for additional locations in both Charlotte and Raleigh. Exact addresses and neighborhoods are still forthcoming.
Sabor launched in Charlotte in 2013 with the goal of replicating some of Espaillat’s memories of street food vendors in the Dominican Republic with authentic, fresh tastes and recipes. The Latin American-inspired restaurant features tacos, burritos, bowls, nachos, quesadillas and dessert such as churros and guava pineapple empanadas.
Espaillat and Raydal Hospitality are also behind Three Amigos Mexican Kitchen & Cantina and La Caseta.
New locations for Sabor are still in the early stages of conceptualization.
