Cape Bottle Room, an Austin-based wine bar, has expanded to San Antonio. According to a recent San Antonio Current article, the wine bar will open at 1803 Broadway St., Suite 108, in the Oxbow Building adjacent to the historic Pearl Brewery complex.

Cape Battle Room, which offers South African Wines, is set to open in November. The new wine bar will be open every day of the week. Guests can stop by 4-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m.-midnight Friday, noon-midnight Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.

Cape Bottle Room’s mission is simple. The winery eliminates “the pretense often associated with wine, focusing instead on its enjoyment and the vibrant culture of South Africa, a region that mirrors Austin’s creativity, community, and sustainability. Our goal is to make wine as approachable as beer—casual, low-pressure, and all about a great experience. Recognizing the lack of South African wine options in the U.S., we are committed to accelerating its presence through a dedicated tasting room and wine education,” its website reads.

Its flagship location in Austin received quite the attention for its unique offerings. Cape Bottle Room offers red, white, rosé, sparkling, and orange wine, all from South Africa.

The wine shop also hosts events, like soccer nights and small parties, and even has a wine club.

Now, coming to San Antonio, the business continues to expand. What Now San Antonio reached out to the Cape Bottle Room founder, Dayna Declusin, but we didn’t hear back by the time of publication.

You can check out Cape Bottle Room for yourself when it opens at 1803 Broadway St., Suite 108, in the Oxbow Building this November.
