Travelers at Philadelphia International Airport will be able to grab freshly baked cookies before or after their flights when a new cookie shop opens next year.

Insomnia Cookies is set to open in Spring 2026 in Terminal C, next to Bud & Marilyn’s, the airport shared in a Facebook post.

“Whether you’re catching an early flight or coming home on a red-eye, your next trip through PHL is about to get a whole lot sweeter,” the post read.

The buzz has already begun, with individuals commenting on the announcement.

“Game changer. Nothing says ‘welcome home’ like a warm cookie before baggage claim,” Grovara commented.

Insomnia Cookies joined the excitement by commenting “catch flights(and cookies), not feelings” on influencer JoshEatsPhilly’s Instagram post.

The announcement follows Insomnia’s plans to expand globally, with a goal of opening 1,800 stores over the next decade through an expanded partnership with Verlinvest and Mistral Equity Partners, according to a press release.

“We’re united by a shared vision: to establish Insomnia as the undisputed leader in the indulgence category. With this support, we’re poised to rapidly scale and deliver more warm, delicious cookies to Insomniacs around the world,” Founder Seth Berkowitz said in a statement.

It also marks another homecoming for the brand, which opened a new shop in Philadelphia’s University City neighborhood this past summer.

Berkowitz founded the late-night cookie chain in 2003 from his University of Pennsylvania dorm room to satisfy students’ late-night dessert cravings.

Insomnia’s menu features classic cookies like chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, sugar, oatmeal raisin and white chocolate macadamia. The chain also offers deluxe options such as s’mores, salted caramel and chocolate peanut butter cup. Other treats include brownies, blondies, brookies, cookie cakes and ice cream. Customers can build their own cookie ice cream sandwiches or order a warm cookie delivered straight to their door.

Insomnia Cookies operates more than 300 locations across the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
