Formerly located at 6112 W Flamingo Road, in the retail center on the corner of the South Jones Boulevard intersection, Munchyroad Authentic Korean Street & Homey Food has closed, but a local cafe brand looks poised to take its place.

Currently operating out of a commissary kitchen space on McLeod Drive, Mama Mai Coffee & Bakery has submitted licensing paperwork to Clark County for a restaurant called Mama Mai Vietnamese Cafe that would open in the former Munchyroad space.

Mama Mai offers “authentic unique Vietnamese coffee drinks & bao buns that remind you of home!” says a description of the brand provided to Google Maps. Sounds great to us!

Taking over for Munchyroad, Mama Mai Vietnamese Cafe would join restaurants like Chickpeas Mediterranean Restaurant, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, and Wendy’s.

What Now reached out on Thursday to Mama Mai owner Tram Nguyen to ask about plans for the opening. Nguyen was not immediately available for comment on the news.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available!
