A popular DC bagel concept has shuttered one of its homes and is moving a hop, skip, and a jump away. Bullfrog Bagels has announced the closure of its H Street location, but fans needn’t despair; the eatery will be opening in a new storefront on the same street, reports local media outlet PoPville.
Bullfrog Bagels revealed the news yesterday via a social media post, saying: “As of today, our H Street Bullfrog Bagels shop is closed. We are reopening at a new H Street location. We will announce as soon as the details are final. In the meantime, please visit our Eastern Market, Union Station and Tastemakers locations.”
The beloved bakery has been occupying a storefront located at 1341 H Street, NE. It has not been announced yet where precisely the concept will be moving or when the relocation will occur. What Now DC has reached out to ownership for further details and will update readers as information becomes available.
Bullfrog Bagels has built a strong fanbase through its approach to the titular carbs, which are “hand-rolled and boiled the old-fashioned way”. Visitors can enjoy their bagels with a wide range of schmears or choose from one of the deli’s many bagelwiches.
