DMV diners, get ready to welcome back an old favorite with a new look. Austin Grill, which shuttered its final regional location years ago, is preparing for its brand’s resurrection with a new storefront in Sterling, reports local media outlet The Burn.
Austin Grill will be bringing Tex-Mex favorites to the Great Falls Plaza. The concept from Thompson Hospitality will be taking over the space at 20789 Great Falls Plaza that previously housed Velocity Wings, yet another Thompson brand. The hospitality group has not announced an opening timeline for Austin Grill yet, however signage has been placed, suggesting locals will be able to enjoy the restaurant’s cuisine sooner than later.
While existing fans of Austin Grill have plenty of reason to rejoice about the return of an old favorite, they can anticipate some changes on the horizon. Thompson will be updating both the environment and the menu.
Austin Grill’s Great Falls Plaza home will feature an outdoor margarita garden. The over-21 crowd can also look forward to a drink program with an impressive selection of mezcal and tequilas. The dining menu will feature tacos, fajitas, BBQ grilled wings, and more beloved Tex-Mex favorites.Â
