La Popular, the Mexico City–rooted restaurant concept known for elevating traditional dishes and agave-forward cocktails, is preparing to open a new location at 32 Al Harris Ln. in Redlands. This comes from a local community news group, which confirmed the brand’s expansion plans.

The restaurant is known for an elevated take on traditional Mexican dishes. La Popular incorporates house-made salsas and moles and an extensive agave-focused cocktail program, and offers a lively, modern atmosphere.

Family-owned Grupo Carolo hospitality company founded the brand in Mexico. Eureka! Restaurant Group partnered with the corporation a few years ago to help launch the eatery in the United States, according to Nation’s Restaurant News. The first U.S. location opened in Roseville in late 2022; subsequent expansions include sites in Austin, Claremont, Porter Ranch, and Hollywood.

The site is near the Redlands Public Market, a recently opened food hall in the heart of town. What Now OC announced several concepts slated for that property, including Hokunin, Nava Sausage Co., Take Ur Seat Lite, Supernova Slice Pizza, Nosy Neighbor Coffee & Donuts, Fufu’s Mideast Grill, and Cornerstone BBQ.
