The Teahouse, a beloved charmer in Melbourne is undergoing some major changes.

In October, the shop and cafe was purchased by Noah and Vienna Nace. The shop closed in anticipation for a new move and some exciting changes.

The shop is planning for its grand reopening at its new home at La Galerie at 820 E. New Haven Avenue, just steps from the Melbourne Civic Theater and Whiskey Business. Permits are in the processing phase, and fans can follow the progress on Instagram.

Co-owner Noah Nace tells What Now Orlando that he and his wife decided to purchase the Teahouse almost immediately after learning the previous owners were interested in selling. “It was a place I enjoyed.  Two days later, I was locked into a contract to buy it,” he says. Nace says he’s always loved the hospitality industry since he was a teen working in restaurants. “It’s something I’m very passionate about.”

The Teahouse, says Nace, is a very special place where people can come to slow down, have a cup of tea, and make new friends. It’s a nice spot. You can always meet someone here. Every time I went I would up chatting or sharing a cookie with someone. It’s a place where people can actually talk to each other.”

Nace describes the new location as a comfortable mix of Victorian and Boho style. The shop will offer a selection of teas, including some delicious herbals and florals, along with freshly baked pastries, finger sandwiches, and soups made fresh every day.

If you’re craving something fancy, the afternoon tea service complete with towers of sweet and savory treats, can turn any day into a celebration.
