Take Off Bar is set to be a new chill while waiting option for Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The new airport bar is expected to open at 3500 N. Terminal Rd. Space # MLITF25, according to a recent state filing.
Construction on the new drink spot was slated to start this month and be completed by the end of April 2026. The Houston Business Journal reports that the new 36-foot bar set to come to the Bush Airport next year will live in Terminal D.
The Take Off Bar will be in good company once it opens. Terminal D already has a host of other goodies, including Hugo’s Cocina. But according to the Houston Chronicle, the Take Off Bar’s opening is due to the Bush Airport’s terminal redevelopment program. At a whopping 1.4 billion smackaroos, the development program is the biggest one the Houston airport has seen since the ’60s.
The 414 square-foot new drinking destination for Houston’s world travelers and community members will cost an estimated $500,000 to construct. Mario Cediel, president and CEO at Cediel Concession Management, is listed as the owner/tenant of the new establishment. What Now Houston reached out to Cediel for comment on the Take Off Bar opening in the airport next year, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
The good news is, with all the space the bar is promising to have, it should be able to offer a nice round of options to travelers coming in and out of the Bush Airport. No word just yet on what those offerings will be, but I’m sure that information will circulate sooner rather than later.
For now, rest assured knowing that the new Take Off Bar is expected to open at 3500 N. Terminal Rd. Space # MLITF25 in Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport by Spring 2026.
