Women’s fashion retailer Aritzia is gearing up for a multimillion-dollar renovation at its Houston Galleria store. Details of the $9 million remodel are outlined in a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The project primarily involves an interior remodel and tenant finish-out of its 19,289-square-foot space at the shopping center.
Aritzia Files Renovation Plans
According to the TDLR filing, the project is for Aritzia‘s Houston Galleria store at 5085 Westheimer Road. Filing records classify the retailer’s project as a renovation and alteration, which includes a tenant build-out and remodel.
The records add that the estimated construction cost is $9 million, with the project privately funded by the tenant.
Construction is scheduled to begin on April 26, 2027, with completion expected by Oct. 28, 2027.
The recent TDLR filing identifies California-based Architects Orange as the Aritzia project’s design firm. In addition, HG Galleria, LLC is listed as the property owner.
The filing does not indicate whether the renovation will expand the store’s footprint or focus solely on modernizing the existing space.
The Company’s Houston Presence
According to Chron, the retail company opened the store at The Galleria in February 2020. At the time, Aritzia described the location as a spacious boutique with a design-focused interior. The interior included a pink quartz wall, sculptures, vintage furnishings, books, and curated artwork.
The Houston Galleria location is part of Aritzia’s broader U.S. expansion strategy, with the retailer continuing to invest in its physical stores and customer experience.
Currently, the retailer’s Houston location is on Level 1 near the Galleria Financial Center.
Founded in Vancouver in 1984, Aritzia is a women’s fashion retailer known for its in-house brands, contemporary apparel, and boutique shopping experience. The company operates more than 140 boutiques across North America and has continued expanding its U.S. retail footprint.
The company is famous for its collection of women’s apparel and Super Puff jackets along with neutral color palettes.
The recent planned renovation adds to Aritzia’s continued investment across the country.
