The suburb near the Detroit Airport will see a new cafe in the near future.

Finjan Cafe is planning a second Michigan location in Taylor sometime next year. This follows the opening of their first Garden City cafe in 2021. The project has been teased on social media, but an opening date and address have not been revealed yet

The company advertises that they sell “premium Yemeni coffee.” The Garden City cafe is at 28251 Ford Road, serving specialty lattes, matcha and pastries like croissants. In the past, seasonal drinks have been served like a caramelized banana latte, as well as flavored energy drinks for the summer.

Finjan Cafe was started by Fares Abdulmalek, who is originally from Yemen. He had the goal of creating a cafe that educates visitors about the country’s history with coffee. Four years after the opening, the location has proved to be a hit in Garden City.

From their Instagram page, other locations where cafes will open include North Carolina and Tennessee. The official cities and addresses have not been announced.
