A new eatery from a seasoned restaurateur is coming soon to Placerville.

Placerville Gyro & Shawarma is gearing up to open at 1428 Broadway, next to Grocery Outlet in the Apple Farm Place Retail Center, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. A newly created Google Business listing for the restaurant further confirms the plans.

The upcoming eatery comes from Qaisuddin Samandari, who already operates two established and well-reviewed Mediterranean spots in the region: Park’s Gyro & Shawarma Grill in Cameron Park and Gyro & Shawarma Grill in Rancho Cordova.

The Placerville restaurant will occupy roughly 1,500 square feet and will join a refreshed Apple Farm Place lineup that includes other incoming tenants, such as Caked, a bakery and ice cream shop that’s currently under development at the center.

While an official menu hasn’t been released yet, the offerings are expected to mirror Samandari’s existing concepts. Diners can likely anticipate classic gyro and shawarma wraps and plates featuring beef, lamb, chicken, and vegetables, along with falafel, hummus, kabobs, fresh salads, and seasoned fries.

Samandari did not respond to requests for comment from What Now Sacramento, but the shopping center’s website lists Placerville Gyro & Shawarma as opening in early 2026.
