Located along the East River Shoreline, One Williamsburg Wharf is a 22-story luxurious tower in New York. The building has debuted the city’s first private outdoor ice skating rink, offering sweeping city and waterfront views.
Synthetic Ice Rink Replaces Outdoor Pool
One Williamsburg Wharf has reimagined its outdoor pool as a seasonal ice skating spot using Glice. The latter is a leading organization in synthetic ice technology used by NHL athletes and other brands like Fairmont Hotels, Red Bull, and BMW.
During winter, the pool is completely drained and equipped with a customized substructure within the pool basin. The company uses deck pavers to match the surrounding terrace, and the space is completed with the installation of synthetic ice.
The outdoor amenity is the first elevated rink in Brooklyn, making it a unique destination for residents and guests. With sprawling views, the location offers an alternative to other prominent places to skate in New York, like LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park, Rockefeller Center, and Wollman Rink in Central Park.
One Williamsburg Wharf Features 89 Residences
One Williamsburg Wharf is the first condominium to launch within the 3.75-acre Williamsburg Wharf master-planned development. Situated along New York City’s most famous shoreline, it is developed by Naftali Group, featuring 89 residences.
Residents of the property can enjoy several other shared amenities besides the private ice skating rink. Some of them include a yoga and meditation room, a pet spa, green spaces, an indoor-outdoor fitness center, and a game room.
The addition of a private, elevated ice skating rink highlights One Williamsburg Wharf’s focus on year-round luxury living.
