Following the announcement of Vicolo in Aurora, a Chicagoland hospitality company is bringing two new concepts to St. Charles.

Two new concepts from Chef Chris Curren and Megan Curren of O&D Hospitality are coming to 11 S 2nd Avenue in the suburb’s downtown. These include a cigar lounge called The Idle Hour and Rily, a jazz bar. Opening dates have not yet been set.

Riley will serve craft cocktails, as well as oysters, king crab and lobster. While enjoying the drinks and seafood, guests can enjoy regional jazz performances that will happen almost every night. Construction on the project has just started, and an opening this year is expected.

The cigar lounge will be next to the historic Moonlight Theater downtown. Inside, the 2,400 square-foot space will have leather couches and moody lighting. A BYOB option is planned, and members can also bring drinks from The Graceful Ordinary across the street.

“As a cigar fan myself, I know there’s an opportunity to refine what cigar lounges can be in the western suburbs,” Chris said in the press release.

Chris and Megan started O&D Hospitality in 2024, and the two were inspired by their many years of experience in Chicago hospitality. One of their first projects was The Graceful Ordinary at 3 E Main Street St. Charles, opened in 2021. Since then, they have won awards such as Chicago Tribune’s 2023 People’s Choice Food Awards for Best Suburban Restaurant.
