Aki Sushi is embarking on another opening, this time in College Station. According to a recently filed permit, the new College Station Aki Sushi restaurant is set to open at 509 University Drive.
Construction on the College Station Aki Sushi is already underway and slated to wrap up in March.
What Now Houston spoke with Aki Sushi owner, Sun Jiang, who confirmed the upcoming opening on University Drive for this Spring, but was unable to share more details by the time of this publication.
“Aki Restaurants are dedicated to bringing the authentic and diverse flavors of Japan to the Houston area,” the AK Sushi website reads.
“Our commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients is the foundation of everything we do.”
There are currently five Aki Sushi restaurants throughout the Greater Houston region. The type of Aki restaurants varies. While the Sugarland location is Aki Steak & Sushi, obviously with an emphasis on the steak offerings, in League City, the sibling eatery is dubbed Aki Sushi & Ramen.
“At Aki Sushi & Ramen, we specialize in the art of handcrafted sushi and traditional ramen. Our ramen is a must-try, featuring a rich, house-made pork bone broth that simmers for 48 hours to achieve its signature depth of flavor,” the website explains.
“Meanwhile, at Aki Steak & Sushi, we offer a broader experience that includes a vibrant hibachi dinner, traditional Japanese dishes, and an extensive selection of sushi. Whether you’re looking for a comforting bowl of ramen, a dynamic hibachi show, or a fresh sushi platter, Aki Restaurants provide a unique and memorable dining experience for every occasion.”
Based on the name, the new location to come to College Station will likely focus on the brand’s sushi offerings.
Offering a multitude of rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and more, Aki serves up a little something for the sushi lover in us all.
Aki Sushi is anticipated to open in College Station at 509 University Drive this Spring.
