2026 is on deck to be a good year for Memphis-area pho enthusiasts. A new restaurant specializing in the dish-aptly named I Love Pho and Grill-is making steady progress through the permitting process and getting closer to opening its doors.
I Love Pho will be ladling out steaming bowls of the delicious, titular soup at 1710 Union Avenue. According to the paperwork filed for the restaurant with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development, the restaurant will have 2,341 square feet of space for its signature fare.
While a great deal of information isn’t presently available about the concept, further information is just over the horizon. The eatery has accrued a notable selection of permits, most recently Memphis and Shelby County issued I Love Pho its commercial mechanical permit on January 4, and a sign permit application is presently under review-a good indicator that an opening is not too far in the future.
In addition to the permitting documents, I Love Pho and Grill’s Union Avenue location has a presence-albeit minimal-on Google. The restaurant is acknowledged by the search engine, though it does not yet have a location-specific webpage.
This will be I Love Pho’s second area location, joining another storefront at 567 Perkins Extd. That storefront’s site offers some hints as to what Union Avenue diners can look forward to, saying: “Our mission is to provide a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy great food with friends and family. Every meal is prepared with care and passion, ensuring a delightful dining experience. We take pride in our exceptional service and attention to detail. “
