A new coffee shop is breathing fresh life into a vacant Applebee’s building on Hacks Cross Road. Raymah Cafe has filed paperwork to open in the storefront, though little information is presently available about the concept.

The new cafe is moving into 3895 Hacks Cross Road. The permits moving through the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development offer a narrative of Raymah’s progress; most recently the eatery has been issued a commercial electrical permit on January 20 of this year. A sign permit is under review, suggesting that an opening is in the not-too-distant future.

Raymah Cafe does not have a digital presence yet, though Google does acknowledge the concept, albeit in a cursory manner. While it is a reasonable assumption that the shop will focus on Yemeni coffee, no confirmation is presently available about the exact nature of Raymah. What Now Memphis has reached out to leadership and will update readers as further information becomes available.
