Wooster’s Garden is a longtime cocktail bar in Houston’s Midtown neighborhood, serving locals since 2014. Part of The Kirby Group, Wooster’s Garden will close its doors soon. While the owners haven’t shared a reason for the closure, the bar has been a beloved gathering spot for Midtown patrons.

Midtown’s Beloved Wooster’s Garden to Pour Its Last Drinks

Wooster’s Garden in Houston is known for its tap-forward bar, craft cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere. Established in 2014, it became a second home for its customers. Guests have long enjoyed craft cocktails, beers on tap, premium bar snacks like burgers, tacos, sandwiches, and cheese plates since its launch.

Earlier this month, the bar announced it will close its doors to the Midtown community. Through an Instagram post, Wooster’s Garden informed its customers that their last day of operation will be on February 12, 2026. The team invited everyone to pay a visit in the final days of service.

CultureMap reported that co-owner Jeff Barati and business partner Andy Aweida have tentative plans to lease the current space and relocate Wooster’s concept to another location.

Growth of Wooster’s Garden Under the Kirby Group

The Kirby Group is a local hospitality company that operates a variety of bars and dining experiences in the city. Wooster’s Garden is one of the company’s flagship concepts.

The bar offers a curated menu of food and drinks in a lively indoor-outdoor space. Wooster’s Garden was one of the concepts that helped establish The Kirby Group’s reputation for creative mixology and cozy social spaces.

Its portfolio includes Heights Bier Garten, Bayou Heights Bier Garten, Verde Garden, and Pitch 25 Beer Park.

Over the years, The Kirby Group has become known for creating lively, neighborhood-focused hangouts that go beyond food and drinks.

As the chapter of Wooster’s Garden ends, the staff and community are hopeful of its revival. The closure could open opportunities for other local bars and restaurants to fill the Midtown nightlife scene.
