A local family-owned dumpling restaurant is expanding, with its third location set to open later this year.
Hidden Dumpling House is taking over the former Yummy Cafe space at 3305 Freeport Blvd, Suite B in Land Park, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. The owners confirmed the news via Instagram, and the restaurant already has a Google Business listing.
“Because so many of you asked… Hidden Dumpling House is opening the third location! 🥟🎉” ownership wrote. “Thank you for all the love and support these past 4 years — it truly means the world to us. We wouldn’t be here without you ❤️”
Founded by Danni Kan, Hidden Dumpling House first opened in Elk Grove in March 2022, serving casual, counter-serve Chinese staples like dumplings, noodles, stir-fry, and bubble tea. Its second location followed in Midtown Sacramento in April 2023, offering a similar menu of fresh, handmade dishes.
Kan told What Now Sacramento that the Land Park restaurant will serve the same menu as the other locations, featuring the restaurant’s signature handmade dumplings along with a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options. She said she was drawn to the neighborhood for its quiet charm and proximity to Midtown, which makes management easier.
The Land Park space is currently undergoing renovations and a deep cleaning. Inside, the restaurant will feature 21 tables, with an additional 12 outdoor tables. Like the other locations, it will be pet-friendly. Kan is aiming for a May 2026 grand opening.
“So excited to welcome you to our Land Park spot and see all your familiar faces!” the team shared. “Reservations will be available after our new location opens 🎉”
