Nashville-based NY Pie has a new location in the works, according to a permit filing. The brand is heading to 421 11th Ave. N in Capitol View.

The permit calls for interior renovations to the space, formerly home to Big Shake’s. The Nashville Post reports that NY Pie is aiming for a spring opening at the spot.

Existing locations include Nashville West, Franklin and Hendersonville. The Capitol View location will be the fourth for the local brand.

New Jersey native Jessica Hazard launched the brand in Nashville in 2010, aiming to blend traditional New York pizza with elements of Nashville.

“As a restaurant owner, Jessica enjoys having the opportunity to share a ‘slice’ of home with customers – including not only the pizza, but also the warm atmosphere of a home-town pizzeria,” the NY Pie website states.

The menu offers salads; build-your-own pizza, calzone, and stromboli options; New York-style hand-tossed specialty pies; and beer and wine options. Specialty pizzas include the NY Veggie with mushrooms, green peppers, tomatoes, black olives, red onions and mozzarella, as well as the Lazy Grandma with basil, parmesan, mozzarella and tomato sauce.
