A new Mexican restaurant and bar called Lobos Cocina Bar is set to open in downtown Longmont, according to a food plan review filed with the city of Boulder.

Lobos, which translates to wolf in Spanish, is set to open in a standalone restaurant space on 1950 Main St., in a space that currently houses Birriería Doña María Longmont, which is still in operation at the time of publication.

Owned by Marcel Marin, Lobos promises to bring authentic Mexican food to Longmont, a city with a rapidly growing dining scene. “Enjoy great service, delicious dishes, and a vibrant sports zone for family and friends,” its website reads. Details regarding the upcoming restaurant are sparse, but its Facebook page’s cover photo displays brightly colored, tajin-rimmed cocktails.

While the website says Lobos Cocina Bar is coming soon, the restaurant does not have an opening date as of yet. What Now Denver reached out to Lobos for more information.
