The Village of Rosemont is continuing to build up a commercial area near O’Hare Airport.

Tempesta Market will be one of the new tenants at a new building coming to 9500-9520 W Higgins Road, per a report from Journal & Topics. It will join a new Eggsperience Cafe location at the building. The owners of Tempesta are hoping to open the space by the end of the summer.

The deli is currently based in West Loop at 1372 W Grand Avenue, serving sandwiches with Italian meats. Their sandwiches are known for being stacked with meats, cheeses and veggies on bread like rye and wheat. It also operates as a grocery market and offers artisan cheeses, drinks like wine, coffees and breads.

In 2017, the father-son duo Agostino and Tony Fiasche opened the market and deli naming the concept after Tempesta which means “strong-wind gusts” in Italian. This is their first time expanding into the suburbs. When What Now Chicago reached out to the owners, they were not available for comment.

Before the village pursued the space near O’Hare, Ram Restaurant and Brewery was operating at the building. Ram closed in 2020, and it was bought by the village in June.

The new Eggsperience Cafe is expected to open close to the debut of Tempesta Market this summer. The franchise has grown in the Chicago area with locations in the city, Wheeling and Elmwood Park. Currently, Cilantro Taco Grill – Rosemont operates at the building.

Work on both the Tempesta Market and Eggsperience Cafe are expected to start soon. More information on Tempesta Market and the menu can be found on their website.
