A cozy, family-owned café is brewing in El Dorado County.
Oak House is preparing to open at 4083 Carson Rd in Camino, taking over a former coffee shop building at the corner of Carson and Larsen. Owners Daisy and Yaw Boateng confirmed the news, sharing in a social media post: “If you’ve driven by and wondered what’s happening at the old coffee shop building on the corner of Carson & Larsen— it’s us.
“
Though new to the café world, the husband-and-wife team brings a deep commitment to care and detail. As former healthcare workers, the Boatengs say their professional backgrounds helped shape the thoughtful, welcoming approach behind Oak House.
“We are former healthcare workers accustomed to bringing exceptional hospitality and attention to detail,” the couple told What Now Sacramento. “We are parents to a spirited three-year-old who inspires our heart behind the business!”
The vision for Oak House is a refined yet inviting neighborhood coffee shop—a place to slow down, settle in, and truly feel at home. With a shared passion for coffee and community, the Boatengs imagine the café as a space where connections unfold naturally and every cup is crafted with care.
On the menu, guests can expect carefully crafted coffee and espresso drinks, paired with house-made pastries and light bites. Offerings will include treats like Earl Grey banana bread, cinnamon rolls, breakfast burritos, and a variety of sandwiches. In keeping with their commitment to inclusivity, each item will have a gluten-free alternative.
