An option for Mexican cuisine is coming to the suburb soon.
The next Hacienda Real location is set to open in Bolingbrook at 250 S Weber Road. The Mexican chain will occupy the former Red Robin building in the village. According to co-owner Carlos Arechiga, the opening date will be sometime in late spring.
Hacienda Real is owned by the Arechiga family including Carlos and his brother, Oswaldo. They currently operate locations in Yorkville, Geneva and Vernon Hills which opened last year. The hospitality group has a large presence in Illinois and Indiana, with other chains including Casa Santa, Tia Carmen and Salsa Verde.
“At Hacienda Real, we celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Mexico with a contemporary twist,” says the description on their website.
Restaurant locations serve authentic Mexican dishes including sizzling fajitas and carne asada. Their options range from entrees like steak to the handmade tacos, which are served with three tacos and the choice of black beans or refried beans on the side. Cocktails like homemade margaritas are also served from the bars.
The new Hacienta Real is being built in a commercial area of the village, across the street from Chicago Bolingbrook International Airport. The restaurant will join chains such as Chipotle, Wendy’s and Andy’s Frozen Custard. Those visiting Hacienda Real will enter the plaza heading north on S Weber Road, or can enter from Grady Drive.
