Chef Sam Diminich is taking over the former Mattie’s Diner space at 3100 The Plaza, with plans to open Grey’s Diner and Community Kitchen there this spring.

Diminich is behind Your Farm Your Table Group, which seeks to offer “one-of-a-kind farm-to-table experiences with seasonal menus that celebrate the bounty of the Carolinas.” The group aims to make healthy food accessible to everyone, focusing on sourcing food from local farmers.

Grey’s will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, featuring a classic American diner feel, according to Axios Charlotte. The beverage program will offer coffee and cocktails.

Diminich is also behind Restaurant Constance, which serves a seasonally-driven menu and offers a community-focused feel. It received Michelin recognition last year.

Diminich confirmed with What Now Charlotte that Grey’s Diner is heading to the space but could not immediately provide further comment.
