Two brothers are getting ready to introduce a new coffee shop to the Roscoe Village area.
Owners of a new business called Dots Cafe have been posting on Instagram, soon opening at 2000 W Addison Street. The city recently issued a building permit, and construction is progressing. Co-owner Michael Young told What Now Chicago he is hoping to introduce the cafe in about five weeks.
The cafe is named after the brothers’ grandmother, nicknamed “Dot.” She turned 100 last year and has a love for coffee and company. Michael and Rob Young wanted to open a cafe that brings the same energy their grandmother brings to life.
“With Dot’s, we wanted to create a space where friends and family can gather to enjoy a cup of coffee, to be together, to enjoy the simple pleasures that add up a life well lived,” said a recent post from the owners.
Dots Cafe is coming to the corner of N Damen Avenue and Addison Street. On the other side of Addison is Bartoli’s Pizzeria, and a Sarah Mart liquor store faces the business across N Damen Avenue. This is only a few stops from the Addison Brown Line Station.
The menu and opening progress will be released soon as Michael and Rob will follow up with more information on the new cafe. Be sure to visit their Instagram page @_dotscafe for more information on the business.
