Back in December, What Now reported on plans for a new Marble Slab Creamery to open in Manor, a dual-branded location for the FAT Brands concept that would also include Great American Cookies, another brand from the FAT Brands family.
Now, that pattern appears to be continuing with a new location planned for Georgetown. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows “Marble Slab Creamery & Great American Cookies” opening at 1314 W University Ave., where it would be part of Bluebonnet Plaza.
The construction, which is expected to run from March 1 to June 1, is for “the interior build-out of a new first generation tenant space (1,343) in a new shell building.” The estimated cost is $75,000.
“A combined Marble Slab-Great American Cookies location would bring together popular ice cream flavors like S’Mores, Coffee Crunch, and Birthday Bash with gourmet cookies, cookie cakes, and Double Doozies: Great American Cookies’ confection sandwiching icing between your choice of cookies,” said the What Now reporting from December. “Again, this cannot go wrong. We’re looking forward to seeing Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookies come together!”
That outlook hasn’t changed a bit! Here’s to more ice cream and cookies!
