Raleigh barbecue spot Longleaf Swine will be taking over the space currently home to Luna Rotisserie & Taproom, which recently announced plans to close on March 8. Longleaf Swine will open this year in the space at 307 E. Main St., according to Axios Raleigh.
The brand currently has one location open in downtown Raleigh, where owner Adam Cunningham launched Longleaf Swine in 2022. It also has a second Raleigh location slated to open this fall.
When crafting the barbecue concept, Cunningham was inspired by his childhood experiences growing up in Eastern North Carolina. The menu features wood-fired barbecue dishes, including ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. Other offerings include wings, chicken pot pie and a beverage list featuring beer, wine, bourbon and whiskey.
“We’re more than a restaurant — we’re a community,” the Longleaf Swine website states. “Whether you’re joining us for a boozy brunch, lunch with coworkers or a lively dinner — kick back, stay a while and enjoy the kind of food that feeds your soul.”
