Juice it Up! is known for its açai bowls and handcrafted smoothies. The brand is currently undergoing an expansion that will enlarge its footprint in the Greater Houston area. According to a press release posted on QSR Magazine, the brand has developed a new multi-unit development agreement with Palate Pros, LLC, and is ramping up to open locations in Houston and Katy.
The multi-unit, multi-brand group is led by longtime Juice It Up! franchisee Cem Yorulmaz, who has operated successful Juice It Up! locations in California for more than 15 years. What Now Houston reached out to Yorulmaz, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Yorulmaz is teaming up with Katy resident and real estate enthusiast Gulendam Ece Hurmeydan to bring the openings to fruition.
“We’ve seen firsthand how successful the Juice It Up! model can be, and we’re excited and energized to bring opportunities for brand growth to Houston and Katy,” Hurmeydan said in the press release.
“When my family relocated to Katy last year, it felt like the perfect time to partner with Cem, whose operational expertise is unmatched, and introduce Juice It Up! to a market that’s expanding rapidly and demonstrating tremendous potential for long-term business success.”
What Now Houston also briefly spoke with Juice it Up! SVP of Operations and Development, Carlo Vergdugo, who confirmed the opening.
Juice it Up! currently operates a hundred locations across seven states, majority of the openings are now led by franchisees like Yorulmaz.
The Juice it Up! menu features the brand’s iconic açai bowls. Customers have the option to Build Your Own Bowl or get one of the pre-made options, like the Dragon Fruit bowl. Juice it Up! also offers a variety of specialty smoothies, juices, breakfast snacks, and more.
Juice it Up! intends to open the first location this summer in the West University Marketplace at the corner of Bellaire Blvd and Weslayan St. in Houston.
