Peyton’s Pie Company is one of several food and beverage concepts planned for forthcoming Mulberry development Homestead at Hog Mountain. This location will mark the third spot for the brand, joining existing spots in Flowery Branch and Gainesville.

Peyton’s Pie Company will join Communion Street Market, which will be curated by Nicholas St. Clair, who is behind Antebellum Restaurant in Flowery Branch, and Roland Stanley, the restaurateur behind Cork It in Gainesville. St. Clair and Stanley also own Peyton’s Pie Company.

The wood-fired pizzeria concept offers salads, wings and sandwiches in addition to an array of specialty pizza options ranging from classic margherita to honey chipotle barbecue chicken.

Homestead at Hog Mountain is currently under construction and is expected to open in late spring or summer, Jonathan Welch, a member of the development team, told What Now Atlanta. In addition to the food hall, it will feature a women’s boutique called Mulberry Lane as well as a State Farm agency and a bookstore.

“Local food and beverage options are few and far between. You have to drive to Buford or Brasselton or Lawrenceville to get a decent bite to eat,” Welch said. “There’s also just no gathering space. We’re taking a concept like Gainesville Square or Marietta Square and trying to make a social hub in the downtown city center. We’re taking a historic model and we’re shrinking it appropriately and putting it into an area that has never had one before. Really it’s about community life and creating third places for people to gather and come together.”
