A beloved sandwich shop is set to open the chain’s second Lehigh Valley location this spring.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop will open at 2221 MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township, led by the Seibert family franchise team. The new location adds to the family’s existing shop at 5585 Hamilton Blvd. in Lower Macungie Township, according to WMFZ.

Franchise owner Michael Seibert will be joined by his son, Ryan, and brother, Bill, in operating the new store.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is best known for “The Bobbie,” its signature sub made with slow-roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo. Often called “The Greatest Sandwich in America,” it remains a customer favorite and anchors a menu that blends classic deli fare with more elevated options.

The menu also features a lineup of cheesesteaks, including the Classic, the plant-based Impossible, the premium American Wagyu and the Cheesesteak BLT. Chicken-based varieties, like the Chicken Chipotle Crunch, give customers additional flavor choices.

Cold subs feature staples such as the Classic Italian and Turkey Club, while hot subs include the Capastrami, Meatball and French Dip made with Wagyu beef.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop was founded in 1976 in Wilmington, Delaware, by siblings Lois and Alan Margolet, who set out to create something unique while honoring family traditions, according to the company’s website.

The chain celebrates 50 years in business today, with more than 175 locations across 33 states.

While an official opening date hasn’t been set for the Whitehall Township location, Ryan told the outlet the team aims to open within the next two to three months.
