Edgewood ice cream shop Neveria La Delicia is opening a second location in Athmar Park, according to a food license filing with the City of Denver. The ice cream shop is set to move into 1725 W Mississippi Ave., which currently houses a car dealership.
La Delicia is a family-run ice cream and snack shop opened in 2020. Operating out of a cotton candy-hued space off W Colfax Ave., La Delicia sells a variety of frozen treats, like paletas, a cream-based Mexican popsicle in traditionally fruity flavors like dragonfruit and mango, lemon and raspberry, and lime and cucumber.
Though you can get non-frozen treats as well, like crepes, elote and dorinachos (nachos with a Doritos foundation). If the sugar rush isn’t enough of a boost, or perhaps you’re suffering from a sugar crash, La Delicia offers a Monster Preperado, which is a Monster Energy in all its Taurine glory enhanced with chamoy, fruit, tajin and lemon.
