Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food is planning its entry into Arizona.
The restaurant chain is opening in Gilbert, at the old Carl’s Jr. at 5378 S Power Road, according to real estate site, East Valley Now. An opening date has not been announced.
Mo’ Bettahs was founded in 2008 in Utah by brothers Kimo and Kalani Mack. Raised in O’ahu of native Hawaiian ancestry, the brothers wanted to bring a share a taste of their culture and family. They took inspiration from their mother and aunts in their recipes, sith the hope of recreating the feel of family backyard gatherings and strong ties to the community.
The restaurant serves Hawaiian plate lunches, a combo plate that includes rice, macaroni salad, and a main entree. Choices include kalua pig, pulehu chicken, katsu chicken, terriyaki steak, shrimp tempura, and mixed veggies. Mo’ Bettahs also sells the popular Spam musubi — also known as Hawaiian energy bars, along with pork egg rolls, salads, and drinks. The restaurant also serves ohana meals for the entire family, and offers catering services.
