One Roswell entrepreneur is getting ready to smash into the market with rage room franchise iSmash. Jason Chen is planning his first location with the brand in a 6,500-square-foot space in Crossville Village at 10500 Alpharetta Hwy. He is targeting an opening in about three months.

iSmash currently has 14 locations open across Arizona, California, Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas. There are many more locations opening soon, according to the website. Currently, there are no locations open in Georgia.

Chen told What Now Atlanta that he was drawn to the concept as he looked to move into entrepreneurship, particularly in family-friendly entertainment concepts. He saw a rage room concept for sale and began to explore the idea.

The franchise offers different smash packages, ranging from 20-minute rage sessions to 50-minute sessions with an array of different materials to smash. Different items include glass, electronics and car windshields. It also offers splatter paint packages. Other locations offer axe throwing, but Chen said the Roswell location will not.

There will also be a party room for events at the location.

Eventually, Chen plans to open a second location, as well. He is currently searching for a second site.

“I want this to be a family-oriented local business,” Chen said. “I have kids myself, so I want to build a business that my kids can grow up in.”
