Loring Place to Close This July Amid Rising Costs

Loring Place will permanently shut down on July 14, 2026, ending its nearly decade-long run in New York City. The restaurant owner, Chef Dan Kluger, shared a long, emotional message with the closure announcement.

In a social media post, he wrote, “After nine and a half years, we have some bittersweet news to share. Loring Place will close on July 14, 2026. We are just four months shy of our ten-year anniversary.”

The announcement cited rising costs in the restaurant industry as the primary reason for closure. The post added, “The truth is simple: rising costs have made this the necessary time to close this chapter.”

Located on 8th Street, the high-end restaurant is a staple place in the neighborhood. In the post, the team encouraged guests to visit in the coming months before its final day.

“We’re not done yet, and we hope to see as many of you as possible these next few months. Come see us. Bring your friends. Share your favorite memories. Celebrate LP with us,” said the owner.
