JOEY Houston is slated to open in Memorial City. According to a recently filed permit, the JOEY Uptown spin-off is expected to open in City Centre Six at 920 TOWN & COUNTRY BLVD., STE. 124.
The $9 million construction project is slated to start in August and wrap at the end of April 2027. Construction on the 7,709 square-foot space includes the build of a new one-story full-service restaurant and commercial kitchen.
Design & Construction Project Manager for JOEY Restaurant Group, the brand behind the opening, Alex Fawcett, was listed on the permit for the new JOEY Houston eatery. What Now Houston reached out to Fawcett, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
The JOEY Restaurant Group opened JOEY Uptown in 2021 on Westheimer Rd. The Canadian-based upscale casual restaurant has quickly grown in popularity since its inception. Known for its globally inspired menu that features menu items like sushi, steaks, and Cajun blackened chicken, the 10,000 square-foot space with a “living ceiling” patio offers a social vibe.
The hospitality group was founded by Jeff Fuller. Key concepts include JOEY Restaurants (urban locations like JOEY Kitchen University Village and JOEY Valley Fair), with expansion plans leading to new developments like JOEY Biltmore in Phoenix.
