A Veteran-owned coffee spot will be a new addition in Celina.

The owners of The Hive Coffee Co are getting ready to introduce their new trailer to the community this year. This will be set up at Boardwalk Village, a rental area on Grand Lake. Co-owner Micah Pease told What Now Columbus the opening date is tentatively May 16.

When it opens, the trailer will serve organic and allergy friendly drinks. The team announced their concept on April 9 on Facebook, teasing drinks that will be served including coffees, matchas and a brown sugar shaken espresso.

“Get Ready for organic, locally-sourced coffee, specialty espresso drinks, cold brews and pastries–all served with good vibes and a smile,” says the post.

Micah and her husband, Derek, started the business together, and she is the one preparing the shop for the opening. Derek is a military veteran, and the two have wanted to give back to the Celina community in some way. When they bought the coffee trailer, locals immediately became excited about the project.

“It came about rapidly,” Micah said.

Boardwalk Village is a cottage community on Grand Lake, Ohio’s largest man-made lake. Other concepts at the village are Sub Shack fast-casual restaurant and Coconut Hut bar. The exact location where the coffee trailer will be set up has not yet been announced.

More information on the coffee trailer and opening date can be found on their Facebook page.
