The Liberal Club Restaurant in Fall River has announced it will close its kitchen operations. The club itself will continue to operate, and only the restaurant area will shut down. The closure will end the restaurant’s long-running operations within the club.
Liberal Club Restaurant Closes Its Kitchen
The Liberal Club was established over 110 years ago at 20 Star St, Fall River, in Massachusetts. For the local community, the club is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy a drink. From celebrations to casual gatherings, the club features event rooms, a jukebox, bar, and restaurant.
The Liberal Club also hosts weekly entertainment events and activities. The club announced the closure of its restaurant after serving for 51 years. In a Facebook post, The Liberal Club Restaurant (Bens Foods Inc.) wrote, “This is not an easy post to write.
What started as a small family business grew into something far beyond what we ever imagined. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving generations of families here in Fall River, watching children grow up, bring in their own children, and create traditions around our tables.”
The team reflected on shared memories with guests and thanked them for their support. As the restaurant prepares to end operations on June 30, customers also shared messages of support on social media.
Club Operations Continue as Dining Space Plans Evolve
Since the announcement of The Liberal Club Restaurant’s closure, there has been confusion among Fall River locals about whether the club will shut down. This prompted a Facebook post, clarifying that “The Liberal Club is NOT closing.”
