Exciting things are on the horizon for DFW beer enthusiasts-as well as residents who simply enjoy a fun, relaxed evening out. Kirby Ice House, a bar with an impressive beer selection and a warm welcome for all visitors, has filed papers to open a new location in Irving.
Kirby Ice House will be setting up its newest home at 1251 W Royal Lane. According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the newly constructed building will afford the establishment an impressive 13,200 square feet of space to be converted into a “Bar with utility room area and beverage cooler, kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating areas, restrooms, storage, and office”.
TDLR dates are estimates and not to be embraced as gospel. They do, however, provide a general overview of a timeline, and as such, Irving locals will need to exercise a measure of patience. The paperwork states that work is set to begin on January 4 of next year and is projected to conclude by March 1 of 2029. These dates are likely to shift as the project progresses and What Now Dallas will be monitoring Kirby’s development and updating readers as it goes.
Kirby Ice House currently has four locations open and operational-three in Houston and one in the Woodlands. It is unclear at this point if the Irving location will differ in any significant ways from its siblings. Should it follow the established blueprint, the bar will have 60 beers on tap and a significant wine and liquor selection. Existing locations bring in food trucks to ensure no guest leaves hungry.
