A family-friendly entertainment destination is reopening in North Charleston.
Frankie’s Fun Park, located at 5000 Ashley Phosphate Road, is currently undergoing renovations ahead of its new debut this summer, according to the website.
The renovation of the existing building includes a complete overhaul of the former Fun Park, featuring state-of-the-art lighting, an updated game layout and upgrades to the kitchen and dining areas, Electric Supply Co., Inc. shared in a project update via Facebook.
The park is known for its two miniature golf courses featuring 36 unique holes, a quarter-mile go-kart track and a large arcade.
It also offers amusement park rides, including the Super Jumper, Music Express and a spinning coaster, along with larger attractions such as The Claw, which rotates on a 360-degree axis and pauses riders upside down, and Zero Gravity, which uses G-forces to hold riders in place as the floor drops away beneath them.
New attractions, including laser tag, bumper cars and indoor thrill rides, will be added to the reimagined space.
For those taking a break from the fun, Frankie’s Grill offers a variety of options to refuel. The menu includes pizza, burgers, nachos, wings, chicken tenders and sandwiches.
Standout items include the “Frankie’s Fav” pizza, topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, olives and mozzarella cheese; “Frankie’s Burger,” available as a single or double patty and served with cheddar cheese, grilled onions, pickles and secret sauce on a potato roll; and “Dirty Nachos,” topped with housemade chili, queso, shredded cheese, pickled jalapeños, sour cream and scallions.
Draft beers will also be available to complement the menu.
Frankie’s Fun Park also operates other locations in Columbus, Greenville, Charlotte and Raleigh.
An official reopening date has not yet been announced. Visit the website and follow updates on Instagram and Facebook for the latest information.
