The CTR Atlanta to Open in Downtown Atlanta This Month
Downtown Atlanta is set to see the reopening of the former CNN Center. Now rebranded as The Center (CTR), the building is ready to begin a new chapter for the neighborhood. The occasion also marks the 50th anniversary of the building.
The event will bring together city officials, developers, and community stakeholders. The event comes as Atlanta prepares for upcoming global events, including the FIFA World Cup.
Opening Event Highlights
The opening event will be held on May 20 between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. The CTR will be officially unveiled, followed by the first public walkthrough of the space. It will then be followed by remarks from several leaders.
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens will deliver his remarks during the event. Speeches from representatives of the City of Atlanta, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Downtown Atlanta, Inc., and CP Group will also be included.
The CTR is a redeveloped version of the former CNN Center in downtown Atlanta. CP Group developed the space and has turned it into a mixed-use destination. The space now features offices, restaurants, entertainment, and community spaces.
