A new Japanese restaurant is coming soon to the Main Line.
Ogyu, from Sam Li, founder of O Restaurant Group, will open at 60 Greenfield Ave. in Ardmore, in the former Iron Hill Brewery space.
Li told What Now Philadelphia the new restaurant will be a premium all-you-can-eat Japanese yakiniku concept.
Yakiniku is a Japanese style of tabletop grilling in which diners cook bite-sized cuts of beef, pork, chicken and vegetables over a shared grill. The raw ingredients are lightly seasoned, cooked at the table and typically served with dipping sauces.
The restaurant group operates a growing portfolio of brands spanning fast-casual, cafe-style and full-service dining, including Osushi, Hiramasa and Frozen Boba/BB.Q Chicken.
Osushi serves as the group’s flagship sushi concept, offering sushi, sashimi and creative rolls. Hiramasa is a more upscale Japanese restaurant focused on wagyu, premium seafood and chef-driven entrees. Frozen Boba/BB.Q Chicken is a fast-casual concept pairing Korean fried chicken with bubble tea and dessert-style beverages, offering takeout-friendly comfort food.
An official opening date for Ogyu has not yet been announced; however, updates are available on the restaurant group’s website.
