Modern furniture company 7th Avenue is preparing to debut its new Northern California showroom at 1275 Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek, this July, according to company co-founder Clary Groen.

To WhatNow, Groen said the upcoming location marks another step in the company’s retail expansion, growing its physical presence following strong demand from the Bay Area customers.

“We’ve been looking for an additional Northern California showroom for a while, and the Bay Area has always been a cornerstone of our digital community,” he explained.

Known for its functional modular furniture and elevated interior design aesthetic, 7th Avenue describes itself as a modern brand that blends contemporary luxury with practical innovation, and 20 showrooms throughout the country.

“We make beautiful high-end modular sofas that are designed to be lived in. They’re stain resistant, water repellent, machine washable, but still maintain a premium designer aesthetic.”

According to Groen, Walnut Creek stood out as an ideal location because of its customer demographic. The company sees strong alignment between its products and the lifestyles of the Walnut Creek community, particularly families balancing upscale living with the realities of children and pets.

“Our customers lead busy, high-end lives, but they also have kids and pets,” Groen said. “They shouldn’t have to choose between a beautiful home and a functional one.”

The new showroom space will undergo a complete renovation before opening, featuring the company’s signature elevated finishes and modern buildout style.
