An upscale Italian restaurant is coming to Wayne.

Martini & Roz, a new concept from Fearless Restaurants, is set to open at 523 W. Lancaster Ave. in late summer or early fall, according to The Philadelphia Business Journal.

The hospitality group operates 12 restaurants across the Philadelphia region, including White Dog Cafe, Moshulu, Autograph Brasserie, Louie Louie, Rosalie, Triple Crown and Testa Rossa. It also runs two concepts on Long Beach Island: Daddy O and Tucker’s Tavern.

Originally, a second Testa Rossa location was planned for the Wayne space last year, but those plans have since shifted.

Director of business development Sydney Grims, who runs the group with her father, Marty Grims, told the outlet the decision to change concepts was driven by the success of the nearby Triple Crown and customer demand for a similar high-end restaurant.

Philadelphia firm Rohe Creative is designing Martini & Roz. The restaurant will seat more than 300 guests across roughly 7,500 square feet, spanning a main dining room, bar, tasting counter, private dining room and outdoor seating.

The culinary program will be led by regional executive chef Merick Devine.

The menu will feature seafood staples such as crudo and oysters, along with steaks, wood-fired pizza, house-made pasta and charcuterie. Guests will be able to watch their food prepared in an open kitchen, with views of the wood-fired ovens and a glass-enclosed cheese cave.

Martini & Roz will also offer a tasting menu each evening at its tasting counter, paired with Italian cocktails, mocktails and a wine program.
